Our Website Got a Remodel!

We have been working hard giving our website a remodel of its own! What’s New:

A space to share exciting news as well as tips for home care (right here on the Home Page).

Over the next couple of weeks we will be adding some new photos of completed projects (thats in the Gallery)

Coming Soon will be links to our social media pages! We hope that along with this website the social media pages will give you some inspirational ideas as well as handy knowledge on home care and maintenance.

Project Planning Software is Ready!

We took a little time over Christmas break to find a really good home design software for our clients. One of the hardest parts of jumping into a remodel is visualizing what the finished product will look like. It can be hard to decide which tile or paint color or cabinet style will look best. Knowing this is hard, we tested out a few programs, and found one that we really think you are going to love! We hope it will make the decision-making a little easier and maybe even a little fun 🙂 I will get a few completed projects done through the software up in the Gallery within the next few weeks.

Creating White Alder Wood Shop!

Although we love every phase of construction, both Don and I have found ourselves really drawn to wood working. Nothing will frustrate a person more than spending hard earned money on a cheap bookshelf or desk made from weak wood that falls apart and needs replaced in only a year. So Don and I set out to start creating furniture, cabinets, and custom products made from high quality wood that will fit perfectly in your home. Pieces that will last you as long as your great grandmother’s dining room table has lasted. A bookshelf that will fit that exact little corner you have been trying to find a piece to fit in. We are both a little vintage by nature, and appreciate how things were built “back in the day.” We will be building home furnishing already completed and ready to purchase, as well as custom order home furnishing built exactly how you need them. I will be working diligently to have a link up for White Alder Wood Shop in the next week or so. A homepage wouldn’t be a homepage without a story about who we are, what we do, and why we do it. 

So who are we anyway? 

Don Blunck is the owner. His father owned a painting company in Phoenix, Az, where Don grew up hanging out and eventually working with his dad’s company. He learned the in’s and out’s of painting as well as business. In 2006, after spending his early years working for his father followed by a few years serving in the U.S Army, Don decided to open a company of his own. Using his natural skills and interest in construction, he decided to offer an array of services that would help his clients protect one of the most expensive and important investments of their lives, their home. Through Blunck Construction, Don has spent the past 11 years repairing, remodeling, and restoring homes. Just this past year, he spent his spare time building a new home for his family. By his side for those 11 years has been me, his wife, Jenna. I love watching Don use his incredible natural talent to keep his clients homes in tip top shape. In addition to being his biggest fan, I am here to run our amazing home design software to help our clients plan and visualize their projects. I also take care of keeping you guys up to date via this website. You will also find me (and sometimes our two little ones) in our newest creation, the White Alder Wood Shop, where I like to tinker and lend a hand on woodworking projects.

What all can we fix?

It is hard to put a written limit on the services that we offer, as Don has the ability to problem solve just about any problem that may arise, but to give you an idea, these are the types of projects Blunck Construction has been working on:

• Drywall – full rooms as well as patches

• Painting –  interior and exterior

• Woodworking and Carpentry – custom furniture and cabinet builds as well as trim work.

• Concrete – stamped or gray, sidewalks, patios, and stairs

• Tile – floors, walls, backsplashes, and showers

• Remodeling – exterior upgrades such as siding, decking and porches, windows and doors, and concrete. Interior remodels in every room of the house.

And why do we do what we do?

This is one that reaches deep down into our hearts. I know, I know, construction companies are supposed to be rough and tough and gruff, and all that, but that is one way that Blunck Construction is different than most companies. There have been many stops in our life journey that have really helped us put into perspective what is really important in life. Having a close family and a warm, welcoming, safe home are at the top of our priority list and we want to make sure our valuable clients can create this in their lives as well. We want you to know that if anything happens to your home, we will be there to fix it, so that you can get back to enjoying your home with your family without worry.
